COVID-19 POLICY UPDATE
Sun Island Tours works with 32 different ground operators throughout our destinations in the Mediterranean and Middle East. Our current policy reflects both the changing policies of those operators, as well as flexibility from Sun Island to help agents wherever we possibly can.
Cancellation & Credit Policy as at 08 March 2021
As each booking is unique and may involve more than one ground operator, the cancellation and credit policy needs to be advised on a per booking basis. Therefore, the below information is general, but may vary depending on the service booked.
Option 1: Credit for travel in 2022
Where applicable, you may be able to cancel your booking and receive a credit voucher to be redeemed for travel by 31 Dec 2022. For those passengers with credits to be used by December 2021, these have all been extended as Australian borders are still closed. Please note that the credit voucher amount is equal to what Sun Island Tours has been paid. The voucher is in the name of the clients, however it is issued to, and can only be redeemed by the travel agency that made the booking. The issuing of a credit voucher does not guarantee that any specific service will be operating, or that the prices will be the same as the original booking. All credit vouchers issued are non-refundable, and non-transferable. Some vouchers can be used on all Sun Island Tours services, while other vouchers will be need to be redeemed against the same services booked, depending on the suppliers terms and conditions.
Option 2: Cancel for refund
Unless otherwise stated, the Sun Island Tours deposit of AUD $200 per person is non-refundable. In some cases, suppliers/ground operators have their own amended cancellation penalties which we may need to include also. This would have originally been stated on the Sun Island Tours invoice, prior to cancelling the service.
Earlybird Discounts which were previously non-refundable can currently be cancelled with a lower cancellation penalty, in most cases.
The balance of payments made to Sun Island Tours, less the $200 per person deposit and any other supplier/earlybird/special fees, will be refunded back to the booking agent via direct deposit.
If you have booked through a Travel Agency, please direct all inquiries through your travel agent, as there may be additional services, components or fees.
