Itinerary

Day 1: Rome – Assisi – Siena – Florence

Make your own way to the bus terminal (Hotel Massimo D’Azeglio, Rome) and depart at 7.15am for Assisi, the town of St Francis. Time at leisure to visit the Basilica of St. Francis. Proceed to the medieval city of Siena, famous for the Palio. Continue to Florence. (D)

Day 2: Florence

Morning tour of Florence. See the Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the church of Santa Croce. Lunch in a local restaurant. Rest of the day at leisure. (B,L)

Day 3: Florence – Bologna – Padua – Venice

Discover the city of Bologna with its Porticos. Walk the streets and see the different piazza’s in the heart of the city as well as Palazzo del Podesta and San Petronio. Continue to Padua and see the Cathedral of St. Anthony. Proceed to Venice. (B,D)

Day 4: Venice

Visit Piazza San Marco. Skip the line and visit St. Mark’s Basilica. See the famous sites of Venice including the Doge’s Palace and Bridge of Sighs. Afternoon at leisure to roam along the canals. (B)

Day 5: Venice – Verona – Lake Garda – Lake Como

Depart for Verona, the town of Romeo and Juliet. Walk the narrow streets and see the Arena at your own pace. Proceed to Sirmione on Lake Garda and then to Como on Lake Como. (B,D)

Day 6: Lake Como – Milan

Depart for Milan with the tour ending at the central railway station. End of services. (B)
