Make your own way to tour hotel. (D)
Depart for the Greek colony of Siracusa. Visit the archaeological area including the Latomia del Paradiso and the Ear of Dionysus. Visit the island of Ortigia, the historical centre of the city. Visit the Cathedral and Arethusa Fountain. Continue to Ragusa and visit the enchanting historical centre with its baroque palaces and churches. Enjoy a tasting of typical Sicilian products. (B,D)
Depart for Caltagirone, famous for Sicilian ceramics and pottery. An opportunity for some shopping before proceeding to Piazza Armerina to visit the Villa Romana del Casale. Continue to Agrigento and visit the Valley of the Temples. (B,L,D)
Depart for Palermo with time at leisure. In the afternoon, travel to Monreale and visit the Cathedral with its mosaics and Moorish architecture. Return to Palermo and visit the historical centre including the Cathedral, the Palatine Chapel, and the Norman Palace. Dinner will be at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Depart for Segesta to admire the Temple and the Theatre surrounded by a suggestive landscape. Continue to the medieval village of Erice, located on the top of a hill overlooking the city of Trapani and the Egadi Islands. Walk in its tiny and characteristic streets. After lunch, travel to the Trapani area for a panoramic tour of the salt windmills and basins. Return to Palermo. (B,D)
Depart for Cefalu, a former fishing village, now a charming coastal town. Walk to the city centre to reach the Arab-Norman Cathedral and the medieval wash-house built in the rock. Drive to Parco dei Nebrodi and stop at the Miraglia Forest for lunch. Continue past Cesaro and Randazzo and visit Etna Park from the north facing side. Proceed to Taormina. (B,L,D)
Day at leisure in the small medieval village of Taormina. Weather permitting, there is an optional tour to Mt. Etna. (B,D)
Transfer from Taormina to Catania airport for your flight to Malta (flight included). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel located in
Qawra/Bugibba. (B,D)
Visit the idyllic fishing village of Marsaxlokk. Weather permitting, continue to tour with a visit to the Blue Grotto and the nearby caves (boat price not included). Explore one of Malta’s unspoilt village. Remainder of day at leisure. (B,D)
Morning tour of Valletta, the capital of Malta. See the Upper Barracca Gardens and St. John’s Co-Cathedral, home to a splendid Caravaggio painting as well as an intriguing museum. The excursion ends with a visit to the Grandmaster’s Palace. Spend the rest of the day exploring at your leisure. (B,D)
Begin with a visit to the Mosta Church, renowned for its spectacular dome. Stop off at the Botanic Gardens of San Anton then proceed to Ta Qali Crafts Village to visit a glassblower, a jeweller and a potter. After lunch, visit St. Paul’s Grotto in Rabat before a walking tour of the walled city of Mdina, with its Cathedral and awe-inspiring views from the city ramparts. (B,L,D)
Transfer to Malta airport or port. End of services. (B)
