Ephesus is situated 70kms south of Izmir, near the town of Selcuk.
Ephesus dates back as far as 2000 years BC and it is here that you will find the Ancient city and its ancient ruins which still exist and are a major tourist attraction.
Here you can visit the Temple of Artemis, The House of Virgin Mary, The Seven Youths of Ephesus, Basilica of St.John, Church of Mary, Ephesus Museum.
Generally visitors will travel from Izmir or Kusadasi when wanting to view the ruins of Ephesus, as this is a small area and not much else here people tend to stay in the larger tourist spots.
