Barcelona is one of Spain's and Europe's most vibrant cities, the second largest in Spain after Madrid. Barcelona is located on the northeast coast of the Iberian Peninsula, facing the Mediterranean Sea, which give Barcelona its favorable climate with mild, humid winters and warm, dry summers.

Spend an afternoon wandering down Las Rambles, stopping at Mercat de la Boqueria to purchase some of Spain's finest local produce. Meander through Barri Gotic or Gothic quarter located few blocks northeast of La Rambla. This area is famous for its medieval gothic architecture, a maze of cobbled streets and old squares now full of trendy bars and cafes.

Barcelona is well known for its art and culture; explore this vibrant city on a hop on hop off bus stopping to see Antonio Gaudi's Sagrada familia, Park Guell or the Picasso museum.

A trip to Spain would not be complete without trying some local favourites such as tapas and a glass of Sangria, or perhaps a flamenco dinner show.
