The Republic of Slovenia lies in the heart of Europe where the Alps and the Mediterranean meet. Ljubljana, the capital is a city full of Roman heritage, Baroque, Renaissance and Art Nouveau facades. Mosaics of uneven roofs complement the bridges over the Ljubljana River and Tivoli Park which stretches into the centre of the city. The regions of Pohorje and Maribor are an oasis of greenery, while the Karst caves offer magnificent views from the underground.
Slovenia is just one of the few countries where one can experience amazing contrasts in the same day. Enjoy a swim in the Adriatic, skiing below the Alpine peaks, discover the phenomena of the Karts', a bath in the thermal springs, stroll through the winegrowing hills followed by an evening full of history and culture in a lively medieval city. A visit to Slovenia will never be forgotten.
