Portugal is famous for its pastries, football, and wine. Its capital city Lisbon, is located on the north banks of the River Tagus.
It boasts the impressive St George's Castle, perched on top of the highest of the 'Seven Hills' with sweeping views of the unique city, and the Belem Tower to guard the entrance into the harbour of Lisbon. Portugal is also home to the pilgrimage site of Fatima and the second largest city of Porto, famous for its colourful houses perched on the hills.
