Sliema is one of the most visited places in Malta, this is where you will get some of the best views of Valletta looking from the outside.
Sliema or Gzira (as it is also known) is open all day which is rare in Malta as most of the city shuts down for the Siesta 12-4pm daily, so this is great for tourists who wish to go shopping , eat and just sit by the promenade to relax.
Here you will find Zara, Marks & Spence, Hungry Jacks, TGI Friday's, plenty of restaurants, Internet Cafes, local shopping and tourist shops.
Sliema is very beautiful at night , in the nice summer months when its quiet humid you walk the promenade where you will be greeted by artists who are selling their own art work, get a self portrait done, be in awe of the amazing views of the marina, you can just stroll and find some to sit and relax.
If you are a looking for a nice walk you can go from Sliema to St Julians great views and very scenic.
