Gozo is one of Malta's islands just north of the mainland , accessed by local ferry from Malta.
Gozo is popular for locals and tourists as day trips or over night stays, the difference between the islands of say Malta and Gozo is here you will see a lot more Green pastures, it is much more cleaner than Malta but still holds many popular places to visit.
The most interesting places worth visiting are Ggantija Megalithic Temples, Victoria (Capital), the Citadel, town of Fontana, Ta'Pinu Basilica, bays of Marsalforn, Ramla l-Hamra and Xlendi, Dwejra - Fungus Rock, Azurs Window and Calypso's Cave.
Gozo is also where you can buy the famous art lacing - lace which is designed with the Maltese cross, can be found in runners, pillow cases, table cloths, any thing. There are great local markets where you find really good bargins.
You can also access Comino the 3rd of the Maltese Islands by ferry where you can see some of the most blue turquoise waters and also the place where Count of Monte Cristo was filmed.
