Pula is an authentic, complex and historical town . The town centre has Roman ruins scattered around the town, with the most spectacular being the Roman amphitheatre. The massive structure is call the Arena by locals and open air performances are held in the busy summer season.

The Roman Forum in the centre of town contains the Temple of Augustus which hosts a collect of Roman Sculpture. There are many more sights to see from Hercules Gate, cathedrals and churches, however if it is not history you are after then the most popular place to go is the Verudela peninsula only a few kilometres away from Pula.

Enjoy a relaxing day on the beach then in the evening head to the local restaurants and nightspots for a little fun.

GETTING THERE:

AIR: Pula Airport is about a 10-15 minute drive from Pula town.

FERRY: A Catamaran in the summer (June- August) travels from Venice to Pula a few times a week. There are no ferries from Pula to the Croatian Islands.

CAR: You can hire a car and safely drive within Croatia, it is recommended for the Pula area.
